Stupid  Statements  (Part XVII)

It is interesting to note that some people who are believed to be smart are actually very stupid and the way you can make that determination is to consider the contents of their statements that are made public. What follows are the stupid statements made by some really stupid people.

Manohar Lal Sharma

This fool is the defence lawyer representing five murderers in New Delhi, India who raped, beat and killed a young woman by inserting a metal shaft deep into the vagina of the young woman’s body. She later died in the hospital. They also beat her fiancé with the metal shaft. The couple had been tricked into entering a private bus and when the murderers were finished with them, they dumped them naked on the side of the road. This is what this fool said about the couple. “The fiancé was wholly responsible because the unmarried couple shouldn’t have been out together on the streets on a cold night in New Delhi. Until today, I have never seen a single incident or example of rape with a respectable lady.”  He also said “It was the man’s responsibility to protect the woman.” How could he protect her when he and his fiancé were being attacked by six males? If this fool makes statements like those in court, he will condemn his own clients and he and they will get about as much sympathy from the court that a dog would get who walks into a flea convention.

Ashram

This fool is a so-called guru in India who said about the above incident, “The slain woman was equally responsible and should have chanted God’s name and fallen at the feet of the attackers begging them to stop.” I am convinced in my mind that she must have begged her attackers to stop and guess what?—Her attackers didn’t stop raping her.

Mohan Bhagwat a Hindu Nationalist leader said, “Rape is common in urban India but not in rural areas.”  The problem of rape is particularly acute in impoverished rural India, where women’s families face social pressure not to report rapes.

Unfortunately, the statements of these two dolts represent the mentality of men in India towards women.

Hojjat ol-eslam Kazem Sediqi

This Tehran-based prayer leader’s explanation of the cause behind earthquakes, however, wins my vote hands down. He said, “Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which increases earthquakes.”

Paris Hilton

She has to be mentioned here for two of her weirdest statements—“I'm so smart now. Everyone's always like take your top off. Sorry, NO! They always want to get that money shot. I'm not stupid.” and, this one, “I don't think, I just walk.”

Richard Mourdock

This Indiana Senate candidate in the 2012 campaign said, “I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.” Where was God when the victim called out to him for help?

George W. Bush

This ex-president made the following statement on October 20, 2012. “We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories and we'll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong, we found them.”  Despite extensive searches, no weapons of mass destruction were ever located in Iraq.

Ryan McCarthy

His stupid statement boggles one`s mind. Tyler Don brock asked him,
Do you even know what anal is? Ryan McCarthy`s stupid reply was, “Yeah. It’s in the vagina.”

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

This Iranian President said while addressing the United Nations about the United States. “In Iran, we don’t have homosexuals, like in your country.” That is because Iran executes them.

“I saw my father march with Martin Luther King.” Romney's campaign later admitted that Romney’s father didn't march on the same day or in the same city that Martin Luther King did. Lying in public can be fatal to one’s credibility.

John Edwards (politician)
“I know that it's not possible that this child could be mine.” He said this while he was denying paternity of mistress Rielle Hunter's daughter in 2008. He later admitted that he was the father of her child. There is another politician whose credibility ended up in the dumpster.

Sarah Palin
“Paul Revere did warn the British and I know my American history.” She made this statement in a shout-out, gotcha-type of question that was asked of her while defending her botched Paul Revere history lesson by taking issue with the reporter during a  Fox News Sunday interview, June 5, 2011 who simply asked her “What have you seen so far today, and what are you going to take away from your visit?” This stupid woman didn’t realize that Paul Revere was an American and it was his fellow Americans he was warning about the approaching British soldiers. Perhaps the answer as to why she made such a stupid blunder is found in a statement she made during an ABC interview with Barbara Walters, on December. 9, 2010, “Why would it be that there is that perception that I don't read?”
“I love that smell of the emissions!” said by Sarah Palin, at a motorcycle rally in Washington, D.C., where she rode in on a Harley, May 29, 2011. Was she not aware that carbon monoxide is harmful to one’s health?  This may explain why her brain cells are not functioning properly.
“As we work and sight see on America's largest island, we'll get to view more majestic bears, so now is a good time to draw attention to the political equivalent of the species.” This erroneous statement was said on July 19, 2010 by Sarah Palin, when she was referring to Kodiak Island in Alaska when in fact it is the main Island of Hawaii that is America's biggest island.
“This is Reagan country. Yeah! And perhaps it was destiny that the man who went to California's Eureka College would become so woven within and inter-linked to the Golden State.” Sarah Palin blundered about Reagan's education while speaking at a fundraiser at California State University-Stanislaus on June 25, 2010. The College named Eureka that Reagan went to is in Illinois and not in California.
“Shoot, I must have lived such a doggoned sheltered life as a normal, independent American up there in the Last Frontier, schooled with only public education and a lowly state university degree, because obviously I haven't learned enough to dismiss common sense.” Sarah Palin wrote this statement in her Facebook June 13, 2010, while opposing offshore oil drilling. This admission that she didn’t learn enough has been clearly demonstrated while making her silly statements.
“We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn't that ironic?” Sarah Palin on March 6, 2010 was publicly admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada's single-payer health care system, despite having demonized such government-run programs as being socialized medicine that will lead to death-panel-like rationing.
“They are also building schools for the Afghan children so that there is hope and opportunity in our neighboring country of Afghanistan.” Sarah Palin said this while speaking at a fundraiser in San Francisco, October 5, 2008. Canada and Mexico are the only neighboring countries to the United States. The distance between the U.S. eastern border and Afghanistan’s western border is 6,660 miles. It is hardly a neighboring country to the United States.
On August 24, 2008, during a general strategy meeting,  senior advisers to the McCain Campaign, discussed potential vice presidential picks with the consensus settling around Palin. The following day, the strategists advised McCain of their conclusions and he personally called Palin. On August 27, she visited McCain's vacation home near Sedona, Arizona, where she was offered the position of vice-presidential candidate.
Now the idea of choosing a woman to be a running mate in a presidential race was a good one. It could garner a great many votes from the women voters in the U.S. However, choosing a woman as a running mate who is dumber than the vast majority of women in the U/S. was a slap in the face of women voters. There are so many women in the U.S. who would have been better choices as a vice president. It was his choice of his running mate that caused McCain to lose the election. As a senator, he is a great statesman but as a candidate for the presidency, he was a fool and no one wants a fool in the office of the present.
Sarah Palin has dreams of being the next American president. If her dreams became a reality, it would be America’s biggest nightmare. Her chances of ever being a president of the United States are so slim; it would make an atom look like a basketball.
